FAQ
Short answers
What is Progression Racing?
A platform that connects riders and teams. Riders find a team that needs them; teams recruit, plan races, brief in the bus, talk on team radio and keep their trophies. You ride the races in Zwift; Progression Racing organises the team around them.
Does it cost anything?
Not now: everything is free during the beta. After launch we plan a rider pass of €3 a month, about €6 a season or about €20 a year, the same for everyone, with the first season free. We never charge entry fees or prizes. See pricing.
Do I need Zwift?
Yes, to race. Progression Racing works with Zwift: you race in Zwift and add your Zwift ID in the app. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Zwift, Inc. or WTRL, and you need your own Zwift account.
Which devices does it run on?
Windows and Android today. iPhone, iPad and Mac versions are on the way; leave your email on the sign-on section and we write once when they are ready. The app updates itself.
Windows warns me about the installer. Is it safe?
The app is not code-signed yet, so Windows SmartScreen shows a warning the first time. Download it only from this site, then choose “More info → Run anyway”. Signing is on our list.
I am not on a team. Can I still join?
Yes, that is what it is for. Create your rider, pick your rider type and teams that need someone like you can make you an offer. You can also ask a team to sign you. Nobody joins a team without saying yes.
We already ride together as a club. Can we bring the whole team?
Yes. Create the team, invite your riders, and set up the kit, the roles and the line-ups. A club can run several squads. There is no team fee. The first 50 teams can become Founding teams.
How does team radio work?
Through Discord. When a team is created, it gets its own channels and voice radio on the Progression Racing Discord. Talk there before and during the race; official things (offers, line-ups, results, debriefs) stay in the app as mail.
Can I see other teams live during a race?
No. You watch the race in Zwift. Your own DS sees only your own team’s riders, and only those who switch sharing on.
What do you do with my data? Does this site use cookies?
This website sets no cookies and has no trackers or ads. If you leave your email, it is only used to tell you about the launch and the iPhone, iPad and Mac versions, after you confirm it. The app’s data use is in our privacy policy and the rules are in the terms.
Who is behind it?
A small team of riders who wanted racing to feel like being part of a team. Questions or ideas? See the contact page.
